About the Cass County Long Term Recovery Group

Skip Luther, Vice Chair

As a lifelong resident of Nebraska, I retired from Ruan Transportation as a Logistics Field Planner. I also have prior training and experience as a Volunteer Firefighter and EMT.  From 2015-2019 I served as the Volunteer Coordinator for the Salvation Disaster Action Team and am currently a volunteer for the Operations Section of the Cass County Emergency Management.  As a 27 year resident of Cass County, I have seen the area expand and grow into the community, it is today, being able to give back to the members of Cass County, especially in a time of need, helps the continuance of growth in a positive way.

Brittney Hensley, Treasurer

Born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, I went to Bellevue University and obtained my Master’s Degree in Emergency Management in 2017. While a student at Bellevue University, I volunteered for both the Red Cross Disaster Action Team and the Tri-County Community Emergency Management Team through the Sarpy County Emergency Management Agency. I have worked for the Sarpy/Cass Health Department for 3 years as the Emergency Preparedness Coordinator.  With my role at the health department, I volunteered to join the Cass County Long Term Recovery Group to help provide the community with the resources needed in disaster recovery.
